We will pick up you from your hotel after breakfast. Your 10-day private tour of Morocco starts with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque. Next, we depart for Rabat where you can visit the Mechouar of the Royal Palace, the ruins of Chellah, the Mohammed V Mausoleum and the Hassan Tower. After lunch we will head to Meknes, arriving in the early evening, and spending the night.
Today after breakfast you will have a tour of Meknes including El Hdim square, Bab El Mansour (the massive gate which is the entrance to the old city) and the Jewish quarter. We depart via Volubilis, the Roman ruins and Moulay Idriss, the holy town. We'll continue onto Fes where we will have dinner and overnight stay in a traditional riad.
Today we will have a Fez guided tour to discover the old medina and the famous “souks of Fes” - with its narrow cobbled streets filled with ancient mosques and towering green-glazed minarets. We will visit the most beautiful palaces and monuments of Fes. And, of course, we'll pay a visit to the famous tannery and the ceramic cooperative to see traditional Moroccan crafts. We stay overnight in Fez.
After breakfast we will depart for Merzouga through the Middle Atlas region. We will drive through Ifrane, the ‘Switzerland’ of Morocco and the cedar forests of Azrou where we can see the monkeys. When we reach Midelt, we'll stop for lunch. We will then follow the Ziz River through the valley and stop to see the Ziz Gorge on our way to Merzouga desert. Spend the night in Merzouga in local desert riad.
Today we will explore the Sahara desert area and the Erg Chebbi desert dunes. First, you'll experience a 4x4 desert tour where you'll have the opportunity to see the nomadic way of life. We will visit the ‘black village’ of Khamlia to see the Gnawa musicians. Enjoy a traditional Berber pizza for lunch. In the afternoon we will ride camels to see the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in a desert camp. We will have a traditional tagine dinner and hear some traditional Berber music.
Wake up early to watch a sunrise over the dunes before making our way back to the hotel/riad for breakfast and a shower. Next, we'll check out the Rissani market and cross the palm lined valleys of Tourog and Tinjdad to arrive at the Todra Gorge. Take a walk in the Todra Gorge and have lunch in a local restaurant before continuing to our hotel in the Dades Gorge.
After breakfast we will take a walk in the gorge and then take the off-road track to see the nomad caves. We will continue via El Kelaa Magona, Valley of the Roses and the Skoura oasis. Visit movie studios in Ouarzazate and also Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou on the way to Marrakech. We stay in a local hotel/riad near Jamma el Fna square for this night.
The next 2 days we stay in Marrakech. On day 8, we will have a guided tour to discover the multiple facets of the city. Explore in the labyrinth of narrow streets in the Medina, amongst its famous souks. We'll also visit the most beautiful places and monuments of Marrakech
On day 9, you're free to venture wherever you please.
Today we will depart for the Casablanca airport. This concludes our 10-day private Morocco tour
